Dates, not a special service
The University of Surrey’s Stag Hill campus is on the west side of Guildford, next to Park Barn and Onslow Village. Other students live in shared houses towards Stoughton and the town centre, or in colleges elsewhere in town. The busy weeks are the start and end of tenancies, often around September and the early summer. Book when you know the date. Those weeks fill up.
This is ordinary moving work with a stricter clock. It is described on the student removals page without any claim that the firm exists for students.
Halls and shared houses are different
Halls often have a lift booking, a ban on scuffing walls, and an hour by which the room must be empty. A shared house is closer to a small flat: a stair, a street, and furniture that may belong to the landlord. List only what is yours.
Parents can book. Someone still has to be there with a key.
What usually travels
Boxes of books, a desk chair, a bike, bedding and a suitcase. Landlord beds stay. If the load is only a car boot, say so. A van is the wrong tool for three boxes.
If the “student house” is actually a family home, it is a house move. If it is a few pieces across town, it may be a man and van. The address and the list decide it.
After the room is empty
Redirect post, return anything the hall has logged, and do not leave rubbish in the corridor. The university and the council both publish their own waste rules. A removal crew takes what is on the quote, not a term’s worth of unwanted furniture unless that was agreed.
