Long distance removals in Guildford
Long distance removals take a Guildford home or office to another part of the UK, or bring one here. The extra is the road, the timing and a van that is loaded once, properly.
What's included
- 1A written quote covering both addresses, the volume and the distance
- 2A load planned so the van is not unpacked on the way
- 3Blankets, wrapping and furniture protection for the journey
- 4Beds and freestanding wardrobes dismantled and rebuilt
- 5A realistic arrival window, updated if the road changes the day
- 6Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered for a longer journey when you book.
Out of Guildford, or back in
Long distance work is a full move with a longer drive. People leave Guildford town centre, Godalming or Cranleigh for work, family or a change of area. Others arrive into Surrey and need the same care at a house with a short drive, a shared stair or a new-build street that is still unfinished.
We do not keep a menu of city-to-city routes. Tell us where you are going, or where you are coming from, and we quote that job. Local house moves stay on the house removals page. Office moves that leave the area are quoted the same way as a local office, plus the journey.
How to make the day calmer
Pack, or book packing, before the crew arrives. A long-distance van should leave once. Keep passports, medicines and laptops with you. Give us a phone number that works on the road, and the name of whoever is meeting the van at the other end.
Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered for a longer journey when you book.

What affects the cost
Distance and driving time
Mileage and how long the crew is away are the main differences from a local move.
Volume
A one-bedroom flat and a four-bedroom house do not use the same van or the same number of people.
Access at the far end
We need the same detail about stairs, lifts and parking there as we do in Guildford.
Date flexibility
A fixed morning slot at both ends is harder to guarantee than a day with a little room either side of the keys.

Share both full addresses
Postcodes, floors, parking and any timing you must hit, such as keys released after a certain hour.
- 2
Confirm what is on the van
A long journey is the wrong day to discover a loft full of boxes. The quote matches the list you give us.
- 3
Travel and unload
We load in Guildford, drive, and unload into the rooms you name. We tell you if traffic changes the arrival.
Long distance removals FAQs
Do you only cover certain cities?
No. We move UK-wide from Guildford. Tell us the destination postcode and we will quote that journey. We do not publish a list of routes.
Can the move happen in one day?
Many do. Very long journeys, or a house that takes all morning to load, may need a different plan. We say which when we quote.
Should everything be packed?
For a long journey, yes, apart from the furniture we wrap. Our packing service can do that the day before so the van is not waiting on boxes.
What if the keys are late?
Call as soon as you know. A van that has already left Guildford is harder to pause than one still being loaded, so early warning matters.
